ADA Accessory Dwelling Units

The cost of living on the Central Coast is preventatively high, and homelessness is a decades-long challenge. Monterey County hosts a significant population of Veterans and active-duty military personnel, thanks to our various military installations. In comparison to other individuals struggling with homelessness, Veterans face almost double the rate of living with a disability, compounding the demand for affordable and accessible housing. We currently are raising funds to purchase and install four fully ADA-compliant Accessory Dwelling Units on VTC property to provide housing for a minimum of 16 more Veterans with limited mobility in an effort to fill this significant gap.
